“Midnight Somewhere” is an unreleased song written by Kendall Schmidt and Matt Squire, came out of the label’s push for a 2012 summer single. Each member of the band was asked to write a song, but none of the four picks made the cut. Instead, the label went with “Windows Down,” which they sourced from Kesha. The track was later mentioned by Stephen Glickman on an episode of Koffee with Kendall, and about a minute of it finally surfaced during the April 28, 2022 TikTok livestream.
